LARGO, October 21, 2015: Breath of Life Women’s Health and Birth Center announced today that communications specialist June Connell has joined the birth center as its first-ever Community Relations Manager. For the last nine years, June has worked in the Tampa Bay birth community as a certified childbirth educator, birth doula and prenatal yoga teacher. That experience, combined with decades of experience in media and communications in the New York Metro area, makes her a perfect fit to help grow and lead the birth center’s new community outreach efforts.
“I am so excited to have an expanded role at Breath of Life,” said June, who has taught birth classes at the center since 2008. “To work with the skilled and experienced Certified Nurse Midwives is such an honor. I am committed to helping the center create a solid community of pregnant and new parents to help provide them with the resources they need during the life-changing transition to parenthood.”
Glenda Pearson, Executive Director of Breath of Life, said “June will be an instrumental part of the birth center’s growth by expanding our classes, creating and overseeing our fundraising events, increasing our online presence through blogging and social media campaigns, and opening our reach to new audiences. We are happy to have her on board.”
