Normalizing the Fourth Trimester – Birth Stories: Why They Matter
July 12, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pmFree
This will be the 4th session in our Normalizing The 4th Trimester series and it’s all about birth stories. If you have had your baby, regardless of where, when, or how, and you have ANY negative feelings about any part of your labor and birth story, then THIS is the group to attend.
Have you ever shared about your birth story and been met with:
-Well at least you have a healthy baby, that’s what’s important!
-But you’re healthy now! That’s all that matters.
-At least you got the natural/vaginal birth you wanted.
-At least you avoided a c-section!
-Being told to “just be grateful”…
-ANYTHING that starts with “at least” or minimized a piece of your experience that doesn’t feel so wonderful….
We want you to know that: even if your birth story looks “perfect” on paper, it is OK that YOU might not FEEL that way, and how YOU feel, MATTERS.
This month’s group will be decidedly more structured than previous meetings. Andrea, Dawn, and Jaqulynn will share what they’ve learned from their journeys to healing and will provide a LOT of information and resources for you to begin or continue owning your birth story, and the healing that comes with that. We would love to help you begin or continue to work through the less than beautiful parts of your birth story, help you understand that how you feel about your birth matters, and that wherever you are at in the process is ok.
Please join us for this impactful and powerful conversation. And as always, babies through preschool are welcome to join us ❤
