Just a few months after Breath of Life opened its doors in August of 2007, June began teaching childbirth classes here, and since then she’s taught hundreds of our clients about labor and birth. June started in this new position of Community Relations Manager in the fall of 2015, bringing more than 20 years of experience in media, public and community relations, and 10 years of experience in the field of pregnancy and birth. She continues to teach birth classes here, and also oversees the birth center’s social media, blog and newsletter; she is working with the staff on renovating the classroom to help Breath of Life become a community center where pregnant and new moms and dads can find classes and workshops to help them adjust to life with babies!
June has a degree in Speech Communications, and is also a birth doula and prenatal yoga teacher. She has two teenage sons whose births sparked her interest in becoming a birth professional. In her free time, June likes to walk with friends, rollerblade the Pinellas Trail, practice yoga and meditation, do math and word puzzles, and hike in the fresh air of the NC mountains whenever possible!
