Teresa received her master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University and is an active member of the ACNM, AABC, CMA, AAPLOG, and AAFCP. Before becoming a midwife, she worked for 11 years as a nurse primarily in Critical Care Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery. She has additional training as a FertilityCare Practitioner teaching the Creighton Model of Natural Family Planning for women wanting to achieve or avoid pregnancy, monitor and evaluate gynecologic health, and recognize potential indicators of infertility.
Teresa had the great privilege of completing some of her midwifery training at Breath of Life and enjoyed every moment caring for the BOL families and is thrilled to be back on an occasional basis to provide vacation-relief for BOL midwives. Teresa has a heart for out-of-hospital birth and hopes to eventually bring a birth center to her home on the east coast of Florida. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son and cheering him on at soccer games, going to the beach, reading, traveling (especially to Italy!), mission work, and quality time spent with friends and family. Teresa feels blessed to be able to serve women and their families as a midwife, and prays that God will continue to guide her as she aims to serve Him in all she does.
