Giving birth at Breath of Life can cost a less than a hospital birth while providing many more hours of one-on-one care and individualized attention. We offer payment plans and can bill your insurance company.  Please take your first step so we can help you determine your out-of-pocket expenses.

    NOTE: Tricare Prime requires a PCM referral

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that once your baby is born and added to your insurance policy, your annual deductible may increase to a Family Deductible. Please check with your insurance company before your baby’s birth to see if your deductible will increase (and by how much) so that it can be calculated into your payment.

What You Need to Know

If you are applying for Pregnancy Medicaid benefits, please inform our staff. We accept ONLY the following Medicaid plans: Humana Healthy Horizons, Sunshine Health and Simply Healthcare

Be Prepared

There are some fees insurance and Medicaid don’t cover. 

 

Required Fees:

  • Non-Billable Services and Supplies Fee (Advanced Beneficiary Notice- due at the first prenatal appointment) – $250

    *The Advanced Beneficiary Notice covers those services and supplies that are not covered through insurance, Medicaid or included on the self-pay rates. The services and supplies are throughout your prenatal care and into Postpartum services. 

  • Childbirth Education and Early Home Care Course (due at the first class) – $225

 Optional Services/Supplies:

  • Nitrous Oxide (due at 36 wks)  – $350

  • Cord Blood & Tissue Banking Collection (due at 36 wks) - $250

Self-Pay Or Healthshare Plans

If you don’t have traditional insurance coverage, you can talk to us about your self-pay options. We accept cash, check, or credit cards.

Breath of Life was established to provide all women in our community with a safe, natural alternative to traditional medical care before, during, and after childbearing years. As a non-profit organization, we want to care for all women in our community, without regard for social and economic status. Through our donor programs, we can welcome more women and families of all backgrounds. Please contact us to find out if you qualify for any of our program assistance.
